Online Learning

Welcome to the home of online learning at The Sheffield College.

Most courses are free to residents of South Yorkshire!

Whether you're looking for a programme to expand your career opportunities, or a short course to get you back into education, our online courses are the perfect way to learn and gain a qualification from the comfort of your own home.

Distance learning means that you can study in your own time and fit learning around existing employment, family commitments or commuting. You can also work through the material that suits you, with support from dedicated online-tutors if you need it.

What can I study?

We offer online courses in a variety of areas, from health and social care to accounting.

Who are online courses for?

The short answer is, online courses are suitable for just about anyone. All you need is an internet connection and a few hours spare each week to study. Whether you're looking to learn more about an area of personal interest, want to start working towards a new career or advance in your current role, online study is a perfect choice.

We offer programmes at a variety of levels and in a wide range of subject areas, so there should be something suitable for you no matter what your learning has looked like up to now.
