Fully-funded qualifications
The National Skills Fund
The National Skills Fund is a government-funded initiative which provides adults over the age of 19 with an opportunity to improve their career prospects by expanding their current skills or training in a new industry for free.
Some of our adult Level 3 offer will be free to you if you:
are a resident of the UK
are aged 19+
don’t yet have a full Level 3 qualification
You will have the opportunity to study an exciting range of qualifications across all our sectors on programmes such as:
A Levels
Technical Certificates
Extended Diplomas
19 – 23-year-olds
If you are aged 19-23 and don’t yet have a full Level 3 qualification, it is your legal entitlement that you can study one at no cost to you.

If you are a resident of South Yorkshire, most of our Online / Distance qualifications are fully-funded at no cost to you!

Financing options
19+ Advanced Learner Loans
19+ Advanced Learner Loans can be used by adult students to pay tuition fees and have been designed to make studying as an adult more accessible. Eligibility does not depend on income, there are no credit checks, and anyone over the age of 19 can apply as long as they’re studying an approved course at Level 3, 4, 5, or 6.
University Level Fees and Student Finance
University level qualifications at The Sheffield College are as below. Support for paying tuition fees, and for maintenance loans, can easily be accessed by The Student Loans Company.
